Aptivus

Aptivus is an antiviral medication used to treat HIV-1 infection in adults and children over 2 years of age. It contains tipranavir, a type of protease inhibitor that helps prevent HIV from multiplying in the body. Aptivus is always used with ritonavir and other HIV medicines to improve its effect. Although Aptivus does not cure HIV, it helps lower the amount of virus in the body and improves immune system function.

Usage Instructions

• Take Aptivus exactly as prescribed and at the same times every day
• Do not miss doses or stop taking it without consulting your doctor, as this can cause HIV to become resistant
• Always take Aptivus in combination with ritonavir and other HIV medications
• If you miss a dose and it’s within 5 hours, take it with food. If more than 5 hours have passed, skip the dose and continue with your next scheduled dose
• Avoid alcohol as it may increase the risk of liver problems

Storage Information

• Store Aptivus capsules at room temperature between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F)
• Keep in the original container, tightly closed, and away from moisture and heat
• Keep out of reach of children and pets
• Do not use if the medication is expired or if capsules appear damaged
