Zomig Rapimelt Precautions and Warnings

Do not use Zomig Rapimelt if you have:

  • Uncontrolled hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • Coronary vasospasm
  • History of cerebrovascular accident
To ensure Zomig Rapimelt is safe to use, tell your healthcare professional if you have a history of the following conditions:

  • Liver problems
  • Kidney disease

Zomig Rapimelt Dosage

In terms of its pharmaceutical form, Zomig Rapimelt is available as an orodispersible tablet. It means that the tablet disintegrates rapidly in the mouth.The recommended dose is 2.5 mg of Zomig Rapimelt within 24 hours of a migraine attack. If a second dose is necessary, take another 2.5 mg of Zomig Rapimelt.Water is not necessary when taking Zomig Rapimelt. Once it enters your mouth, it rapidly dissolves on the tongue. This medication is applicable to patients who do not like drinking drugs while suffering from nausea during migraine attacks.
