Lamivir  belongs to the group of medications called antiretroviral drugs used to control HIV infection and chronic hepatitis B.

Lamivir contains ‘lamivudine’, which is a ‘nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor’ and works by preventing the development of the virus in human cells.
