The Xigduo-60 Tablet is a prescription medication indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes in adults. It is intended to be used in conjunction with a balanced diet and regular physical activity. Xigduo is a combination of two active ingredients, dapsigliflozin (also known as metformin) and glucosamine (also known as glucosamine), which belongs to a class of drugs known as oral antidiabetes drugs.

It is composed of two primary anti-diabetic agents, Dapaglizine and Metformine, which work together to reduce excess glucose levels in the blood by removing it from the body via urine. Additionally, it is employed to reduce the risk of frequent hospitalizations associated with heart failure. The combination of these two drugs helps prevent the development of complications associated with diabetes, including nerve damage, limb loss, blindness, erectile dysfunction, and renal damage.

Warnings and Precaustions

It is strongly advised that individuals who are allergic to Xigduo, particularly to its two active ingredients (Dapaglifloisin and Metformin), abstain from taking this medicine. Additionally, those with diabetes, ketoacidosis, or severe kidney disease should not take this medicine. Xigduo has been known to cause serious infections in penises and vaginas, although this is rare. If one experiences symptoms such as redness, discharge, burning sensations, and a strong odor, they should contact their healthcare professional immediately to seek medical attention. Furthermore, those with a history of kidney disease, liver problems, low blood pressure, bladder infections, or other medical conditions should inform their healthcare professional about the safety of Xigduo.

Dosage

Take Xigduo – 60 Tablets twice a day, or as prescribed by your doctor. Based on the severity of your condition, doctors will recommend if you need 1000mg or 850mg doses.
