Seretide Inhaler 125/25mcg (Turkey) is used to treat symptoms of asthma, such as wheezing and shortness of breath. It contains two active ingredients – fluticasone and salmeterol. Fluticasone reduces swelling and irritation of the airways in the lungs. On the other hand, salmeterol relaxes the muscles in the airways and enables easier and more convenient breathing.
Precautions and Warnings
Do not use Seretide Inhaler if you are allergic to it, especially its ingredients – fluticasone and salmeterol. To ensure that this medicine is safe to use, inform your healthcare professional if you have a history of the following conditions:
- Seizures
- Heart disease
- Thyroid disorder
- Liver disease
- Glaucoma
- Diabetes
Dosage
Note that Seretide Inhaler is administered through inhalation only.
- For adults, take two inhalations twice daily (25 mcg of salmeterol & 125 or 250 mcg of fluticasone).
- For children 4 years and above, take two inhalations twice daily (25 mcg of salmeterol & 50 mcg of fluticasone).
