Claritin Allergy Eye Drops

This medication is intended for external use only and should not be ingested. Care must be taken to avoid contamination of the dropper tip by touching it to any surface, including the eye, as this could introduce bacteria and lead to serious eye infections. If you wear contact lenses, you should remove them before using the drops and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them, especially if the drops contain benzalkonium chloride as a preservative, which can be absorbed by soft lenses.

You should not use Claritin Allergy Eye Drops if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. If you experience symptoms such as increased redness, pain, swelling, or irritation after using the drops, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional, as these could indicate an allergic reaction or a more serious eye condition. Additionally, this product is not meant to treat infections or injuries of the eye.

Consult a healthcare provider before using these drops if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as the safety of this product has not been fully established for these groups. If you have any pre-existing eye conditions or are using other eye medications, discuss with your doctor or pharmacist to ensure that combining treatments is safe and effective.

Finally, do not use the drops for longer than the recommended duration without consulting a healthcare professional, as prolonged use can lead to rebound redness or other complications. If your symptoms persist or worsen after 72 hours of use, seek medical advice to rule out other underlying conditions.

Common Side Effects:

• Mild burning, stinging, or irritation in the eyes immediately after application.
• Temporary blurred vision.
• Dryness or redness of the eyes.
• Increased tear production.

Serious Side Effects:

• Eye pain or discomfort.
• Sensation of a foreign object in the eye.
• Persistent redness or swelling of the eyes.
• Headache or dizziness.
