Uses of Crestor

Utilize Crestor to treat different medical conditions, such as atherosclerosis, stroke, heart attack, heart complications, and high cholesterol levels. It is sold under the generic name Rosuvastatin. It is consumed to lower the levels of bad cholesterol and increase the levels of good cholesterol. Other than this function, it is also used to lower the levels of fats in the blood or the triglycerides. This medicine is suitable for usage to adults and children age 8 years and above.

Precautions and Warnings

Avoid Crestor consumption if you are pregnant. It can harm your child and can trigger birth defects. Apart from that, discuss with your physician if you have the following diseases or have a history of them: liver disease, kidney disease, diabetes, and thyroid disorder. Consuming Crestor will likely worsen these conditions. You will also be expected to change your lifestyle and follow a proper diet and exercise while on your treatment process.

Dosage

Aside from your age and weight, your physician will take note of your medical history before providing you with a concrete prescription. The dosage will be as follows:

• For your first dose, you will be consuming 5 mg – 10 mg of Crestor daily. Consume only once per day. You can take it with or without food.
• For maintenance, it will increase from 5 mg – 40 mg of Crestor. Same consumption instruction is needed.
