Elmiron

Elmiron (pentosan polysulfate sodium) is a medication used to treat interstitial cystitis, also known as painful bladder syndrome. This chronic condition is characterized by bladder pain, pressure, and urinary urgency or frequency. Elmiron works by forming a protective coating on the bladder wall, helping to reduce irritation and discomfort.

Usage Instructions

• Take Elmiron exactly as prescribed, three times daily
• Swallow capsules whole with water
• Take on an empty stomach (at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after food)
• If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered unless it is close to the next dose
• Do not stop treatment without medical advice, even if symptoms improve

Storage Information
