Zytiga

Zytiga is an oral medication used to treat metastatic prostate cancer that is dependent on androgens (male hormones) for growth. It works by blocking an enzyme involved in testosterone production, helping to slow or stop the progression of cancer.

Warnings and Precautions

• Regular monitoring is needed for liver function, blood pressure, and potassium levels.
• May cause serious liver toxicity — report signs such as yellowing of the skin or dark urine.

Usage Instructions

• Take Zytiga exactly as prescribed, once daily at the same time.

• Swallow tablets whole with water.
• If a dose is missed, skip it and resume the next dose at the usual time — do not double up.

Storage Information

Common Side Effects

Mild to moderate effects may include joint pain, high blood pressure, fluid retention (such as swollen ankles or feet), hot flashes, fatigue, and indigestion.
