Adalat XL

Adalat XL is a prescription medication used to treat high blood pressure and certain types of chest pain (angina). It belongs to the calcium channel blocker class, which helps relax blood vessels and improve blood flow. This reduces strain on the heart and lowers blood pressure, making it easier for the heart to pump blood.

Warnings and Precautions

• Not recommended for people with very low blood pressure or severe heart conditions.
• May cause dizziness, so avoid sudden movements when standing up.
• Grapefruit and grapefruit juice can interfere with the medication’s effectiveness and should be avoided.
• Should be used with caution in patients with liver disease or heart failure.
• Stopping suddenly may worsen symptoms, so tapering may be necessary under a doctor’s guidance.

Usage Instructions

• Take exactly as prescribed to maintain blood pressure control.
• Do not skip doses or stop taking the medication without consulting a doctor.
• If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible unless it is close to the next dose. Do not double the dose.
