Constella

Constella contains linaclotide and is used to treat adults with irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C) and chronic idiopathic constipation (CIC). It works by increasing fluid in the intestines and speeding up transit.

Benefits

Dosage
• IBS-C: 290 mcg once daily
• CIC: 145 mcg once daily (72 mcg may be used in some cases)
• Take on an empty stomach, 30 minutes before first meal
• Swallow capsules whole, do not crush or chew

Warnings and Precautions
• Not approved for use in patients under 18 years old
• Risk of severe diarrhea, especially early in treatment
• Not for use in patients with known GI obstruction
• Use with caution if you have a history of dehydration

Usage Instructions
• Take at the same time every morning
• Do not take with food
• Skip the dose if vomiting or severe diarrhea occurs
• Stay well-hydrated during use

Storage Information
• Store at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F)
• Keep in original container with desiccant
• Do not remove capsules from blister packs in advance
• Keep out of reach of children
