Mucinex® Multi-Action™ Congestion, Stuffy Nose & Cough Liquid* is a liquid medicine for sinus congestion & pressure, wet and dry coughs, and chest congestion. It loosens phlegm or mucus and thin lung secretions and helps clear up stuffiness.
*Temporarily relieves cold symptoms: cough / wet and dry cough, chest congestion, loosen phlegm or mucus and thin lung secretions, nasal congestion / stuffiness / stuffy nose, sinus congestion & pressure.
Precautions and Warnings
Do not use with a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (drugs for depression or Parkinson’s disease) or for two (2) weeks after stopping the MAOI drug
with other cough and cold products.
Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis or emphysema,
cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus), difficulty breathing or other chronic lung conditions.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Stop use and ask a doctor if symptoms worsen or last more than 7 days, if you develop a fever (>38°C), rash, or a headache that won’t go away.If you cough up thick yellow or green mucus or if you are nervous, dizzy or can’t sleep.
Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, call a poison control centre or get medical help right away. Read the complete label prior to use and follow all label instructions.
Dosage
Adults and children 12 years and over: Take 20 mL every 6 hours.
Do not take more than 4 doses (80 mL) in any 24-hour period.
Do not use in children under 12 years of age.
Use only the measuring device provided.
